“I ABT16373A sono fermi D tipi trasparenti di 16 bit con 3 uscite dello stato progettate specificamente per determinare i carichi altamente capacitivi o relativamente di bassa impedenza. Sono particolarmente adatti ad implementare i registri dell'amplificatore, i porti dell'ingresso/uscita, i registri bidirezionali di lavoro e degli autisti di autobus.
Questi dispositivi possono essere utilizzati come due fermi di 8 bit o un fermo di 16 bit. Quando fermo-permetta all'input (LE) è alto, le uscite di Q segue i dati (D) input. Quando il LE è preso in basso, le uscite di Q sono chiuse ai livelli installati agli input di D.
Attenuato uscita-permette all'input (OE) può essere usato per disporre le otto uscite in uno stato normale di logica (livelli logici o bassi) o in uno stato ad alta impedenza. Nello stato ad alta impedenza, il carico delle uscite nè nè determinare significativamente le linee di bus. Lo stato ad alta impedenza e l'azionamento aumentato forniscono la capacità per determinare le linee di bus senza esigenza dell'interfaccia o delle componenti pullup.
OE non colpisce i funzionamenti interni del fermo. I vecchi dati possono essere conservati o i nuovi dati possono essere digitati mentre le uscite sono nello stato ad alta impedenza.
Quando VCC è fra 0 e 2,1 V, il dispositivo è nello stato ad alta impedenza durante il potere su o spegne. Tuttavia, per assicurare lo stato ad alta impedenza superiore a 2,1 V, OE dovrebbe essere legato a VCC tramite una resistenza pullup; il valore minimo della resistenza è determinato dalla capacità d'affondamento del driver.
